Forecast 2013: Austrian commercial property rents rising by 2 to 3 per cent?

The prices for commercial property rented out on a long-term basis are rising considerably in Austria at the moment. Recent forecasts expect a similar tendency during 2011, but with even higher rises in the years afterwards. For this reason, it seems to be now more opportune than ever to invest in this segment. Chinese civil engineering 2020: creating infrastructure for 150 million people

Recent Chinese building construction and property developments are so impressive that many international observers seem to almost overlook the enormous civil engineering efforts of the country. But as the country’s infrastructure has to keep pace both with the rapid modernization of the economy and the growing population, subsidies for urban infrastructure alone that have been announced for 2011 to 2015 are worth about 770 billion euro. Apart from urban infrastructures, huge investments in airports, high-speed railway tracks, and power supplies are also on the dragon’s agenda.

French construction: Decade of energy efficiency ahead?

Construction volume: non-residential sector is Europe’s tail-ender

According to recent forecasts for 2011, the European construction volume will remain on its 2010 level, market recovery being expected until 2013. But this recovery will not be found in all construction sectors equally: Having proven most robust until now, civil engineering will have to face major structural changes. Roofing materials market in Poland to grow by 10 per cent annually?

The roofing materials market in Poland is past its worst and the forthcoming years will see growth up to 10 per cent annually, according to current forecasts. In view of developers’ growing activity, both in the residential and commercial construction market, prospects for the segment of flats roofs are slightly more promising as compared with the pitched roofs sector. In particular, top-shelf products will gain significance in the coming years.
